Many platforms tend to hide behind the ship, so they can be used to fake floor collision. R/starbound: Starbound is a space+sandbox+building+exploration game developed by Chucklefish, a London-based independent game studio So I came across a guide showing you how to upgrade your ship with cheats but it didnt work, is it still possible and if so how do I do it Save hide report. Note that in most cases, the ship is not perfectly aligned with blocks, so placing most items will not work properly. This command even seems to function with modded races that feature their own ships. Protectorate ships: these ships essentially serve like other vessels you can find during your playthrough, however some can be hostile, their crew turning to piracy after the transmission of Earth's destruction reached them.
The item can be forced back into the shape of any ship by putting the cursor over the block where the ship was place (again, not over the body of the ship) and entering the admin command /entityeval setSpecies("Species"), replacing the word Species with the name of the racial version of the ship desired, such as Novakid or Hylotl. The same effect will occur if the item is spawned in using the /spawnitem command. So, even if you encounter the item as a Novakid, and the ship looks like a Tier-1 Novakid Ship when initially approached, mining the item will revert the object back into a Tier-1 Human Ship. Regardless of the appearance of the item when encountered in the Tutorial, the item will resemble like a Tier-1 Human Ship, both when placed and in the tooltip.
Note that you must mine a spot to the bottom-left of the ship, not the ship body itself. The only ways to obtain it are through the use of the /admin command, either by spawning it in with the /spawnitem command or using the /settileprotection 0 false command to then mine the starting ship. It takes on the appearance of a deactivated, Tier-1 version of whatever race the player is currently controlling. The Protectorate Ship is an Unobtainable item that can be found through normal gameplay, located at the very end of the Protectorate Academy Intro Mission.
This item's information is present in the game files, but not intended by developers to be in players' possession. Protectorate Ship is an object unobtainable by players through normal means.
